MMK's "KAPE" (Coffee)

I just have finished watching this Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) Episode featuring Kim Chiu and (I don't know the name of the guy but don't worry, I'll research that). This episode caught my attention because the are portraying roles of 2 Nursing Students (and I can relate because of that).

The episode was a lot bit predictable. It is close to what usually is actually happening more times than not. A girl falls in love with a boy and he secretly does too but because of a tiny bit (aka walang kwenta) reason enters a relationship to a girl he barely knows to cover-up for his frustration. When they told what they feel for one another, it's already too late, the girl sacrificed and when it reached the time she decided to pursue their "interrupted" relationship, it's again too late because Girl#2 became pregnant. This story ended with mixed emotion as she forgave him but, with this, they placed a period in their relationship. The best thing for me that happened in this episode was that it didn't end a 100% happily-ever-after -- a cliche for me.

"Kinse" (Fifteen)

I accidentally watched an episode today of the 6-episode series "Kinse" (Fifteen) at ANC and was able to watch the last 2 mini-movies, one of which was directed by Auraeus Solito of "Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros."

I loved the first mini-movie featuring this "promdi" girl who went to Manila to pursue her job there. I was somewhat bored at first because of the fact that it was black and white and read-the-script type but eventually ended up smiling then raising my eyebrow as the main message of the story was unveiled: indigenous discrimination. I think it is not right to discriminate the indigenous group by all means (in the film, the girl was prohibited to wear their indigenous clothing because it was against the policy).


The next film was a colored one (in contrast to the first, haha). This story featuring the Palawan tribe initially gave me the provincial/rural taste that I find attractive in indie movies.  It follows the story of a tribe member waiting for her "kudyapi" (a musical instrument) because she was asked by the tribe to play it during their assembly. I find it striking that some of the intentions of the movie was boldly expressed like "NO TO CYANIDE FISHING" AND "NO TO POACHING." Overall, this is a pretty interesting "obra" of Auraeus Solito.

I should say it should depend on the situation. When you are trying to assess yourself if you truly love one person or not, use your HEART. Now, if a problem occurs and it's more on you getting hurt, the MIND should outweight the HEART.

Yes. Stop holding carrying those bad experiences in the past (I believe it's what you're refering to). It's good to learn from them but never hold them for too long.
Move on. If you won't this prevents you from making the most out of your life.
