I would say love. Ambition is a broad thing and I sometimes it takes Love for you to achieve them.

I should say it should depend on the situation. When you are trying to assess yourself if you truly love one person or not, use your HEART. Now, if a problem occurs and it's more on you getting hurt, the MIND should outweight the HEART.

Yes. Stop holding carrying those bad experiences in the past (I believe it's what you're refering to). It's good to learn from them but never hold them for too long.
Move on. If you won't this prevents you from making the most out of your life.

If you are continously hurt in a relationship, don't act like you're numb, at the very least, tell him/her that and if still continues, I think you should stop holding on and it's time to put an end on it.
